Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol Thailand Starts Tomorrow at Pakarang Beach in Khao Lak

Thursday, 29 May 2025 – Pakarang Beach, Phang Nga, Thailand: The waves are pumping, the sun is out, the stages are set and all systems are go for the second annual Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol Thailand, which is scheduled to kick off tomorrow morning at 7:30 am, depending upon wave and weather conditions.

The last two days have seen great conditions at Pakarang Beach, and tomorrow is expected to offer another day of fun waves at the sand bottomed beach break in front of the legendary Memories Bar to start the two day event, which will conclude on Saturday afternoon.

Over 70 groms (junior surfers 18 years of age and Under) together with their family and friends and surf supporters from around Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, are in Khao Lak this weekend to join in the fun and festivities and take their shot at the top spot on the podium. Prize money, prizes, and a place in the Grom Patrol Grand Final in Bali are up for grabs.

Competition Details

Grom Patrol Thailand 2025 features Shortboard divisions for Boys and Girls Under 12, Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18, as well as an Under 18 Longboard division. Competitors will compete for over THB 200,000 in cash prizes, as well as exclusive sponsor gifts and surf merchandise.
