30 August 2024 – Kuta, Bali: The stage is set and all systems are go for an early start tomorrow morning at Kuta Beach for the first ever Canggu Community School (CCS) International Surfing Competition. Over 70 boys and girls from 18 and under have signed up for this exciting event, which is scheduled begin with the first heat in the water at 7:00 am, after a traditional Balinese ceremonial blessing.
This groundbreaking event is aimed at uniting young surfers from various international schools in Bali such as CSS, AIS (Australian Independent Schoo), SLK (Sekola Lentera Kasih) and numerous public schools, as well as schools around the Asian region and worldwide who are joining together in friendship and competition to showcase their surfing skills at Bali’s legendary beachbreak of Halfway on Kuta Beach.
In addition to the surfing competition, which includes boys and girls in divisions including Junior (Under 18), Under 16, and Under 12, there will be fun beach games and various activities for the competitors, their families, friends, and spectators to enjoy.
The Canggu Community School International Surfing Competition will wrap up with an awarding party at the nearby Mamaka Hotel Rooftop on Sunday evening, where everyone will celebrate and the winners and finalists will receive awards and prizes from event sponsors and supporters.
